SOCIAL STUDIES POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

Famous Historical Landmarks

After explaining  what landmarks are and what they signify, students are requested to present a power point presentation in class next week. (Maximum due date is Wednesday February 28th).

Mrs. Randa, their computer teacher already taught them how to use Power Point Presentations, so they shouldn't be facing any difficulties.

Please respect the following rules:

1) Students should not use less than 5 slides

2) Copy and Paste is NOT allowed! It defeats the purpose of learning through research. I highly recommend that they carefully watch the videos posted on the link below, take notes on a draft paper, and accordingly type the information and facts they have understood.

3) If they wish to use further information, it is also important that they do not use Wikipedia. There are tons of websites related to their language level, such as websites for kids. Simply let them  type for example "Statue Of Liberty facts and information for kids" on the google search engine, and various websites will appear.

4) They must also submit a typed Microsoft Word format of their presentation. I will be collecting these from each student in order to put them together. The best presentations will be combined and used as an actual lesson where they will study from for the next quiz the following week.

This approach is useful because students will be sharing information among each other and learn accordingly.

5) Please respect punctuation and spelling.
